Networking and treasure hunt

This June, we mixed things up. Instead of our usual format, we invited governance professionals on a City treasure hunt, and it turned into a competitive and very fun evening.

The result? Easier conversations, genuine connections and the chance to properly catch up along the way. It’s amazing what happens when you swap a formal setting with a bit of adventure.

Modern governance professional

In November, we welcomed junior governance professionals from across the industry to delve into what makes a Modern Governance Professional. Joining us at the Aviva office, was governance experts Melissa Banks ACG (British Land), Emma Jackman (Segro) and James Wickham LLB ACG (Aviva), who shared free and authentic perspectives from their career, including:

  • How perceptions of the governance profession are evolving and the future skillset that you need to progress

  • How to work effectively with technology and how to develop communication and relationship building capabilities

  • How governance professionals can make a meaningful impact within their organisations
